When I first decided to make this website, I had dreams of becoming a professional tech blogger. I wanted to break news about tech companies, write reviews on the latest gadgets, and make millions and millions of dollars (Okay, I didn’t expect that but who wouldn’t want millions of dollars?). Amazingly enough, I got a chance to try that. I was writing for a short stint with a major tech blog, I made tons of great contacts, and even made [...]

Winters in Canada aren’t a lot of fun. They can be cold, wet, snowy, or all of the above. What makes things worse is when you have a smart phone with a touchscreen. Not being able to respond to texts, send out tweets, or even change songs playing without taking off your gloves can be a real hassle. There are many gloves on the market that attempt to solve this issue, but to date Glider Gloves have been the best solution [...]

Christmas is getting closer and with that, we start to see people looking for wish lists. Whether it’s the latest gadgets or the must have toys, it seems this time of year there is always something someone wants to have or give. I have a bit of a different wish list this year however. Not one of objects, but of changes I would like to see our favourite company Apple to make in the upcoming year. Who knows, maybe with [...]

The month of November seems to be dedicated to many great things. While some are a little facial hair impaired (Still support Movember, just with less of a stache) there are two “events” that I like to take part in. These events are NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and NaBloPoMo (National Blog Post Month). While these two may not seem like they really are up your alley, I suggest you at least give the later a shot and here’s why [...]

Apple today acknowledged that the reports of poor battery life in iOS 5 are indeed bugs in the operating system’s upgrade to iOS 5. I experienced these issues myself last weekend after updating from version 4 to 5. My battery was only lasting a couple hours but I think I figured out (as many others have by now) that the issue came from signing up with iCloud.

Today Google released a native app for iOS for the very popular gmail service. Of course it was quickly pulled from the app store (of course just moments before I went to download it). Do we really need a Gmail app though?

It’s been awhile now since the Kindle Fire was announced, and while I think it’s going to be a great product, I don’t think it’s going to be the device that brings the iPad to its knees. On paper the device looks strong. A lot of what is wrong with most Android tablets seems to not exist in the Kindle Fire such as UI issues and a lack of a vetted App Store.

I never met Steve Jobs personally. I don’t have any anecdotes to share about times with him. I am however a product of his vision. Steve always wanted technology to be: simple, easy to use, and able to change the world. He accomplished this and more in his life, which we can all agree was cut far too short.

An article was recently published on one of my favourite websites, Tech Republic on 10 Reasons Not To Buy an iPad for Your College Student. While normally I like Tech Republic and find most of their articles to be incredibly informative, this one just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Last year, Epic games released a new game based on the Unreal game engine called Infinity Blade. At the time, the game was mostly just a proof of concept to show what the iPhone and other iOS devices were capable of doing. This hasn’t stopped Epic from updating the game and expanding it making it quite possibly the best game available for the platform.
