FacePALM (Hp buys Palm)
Well it was announced yesterday that HP wil be buying Palm. I’m glad somebody bought them at least. To be completely honest, I really liked WebOS. It was clean, intuitive, and easy to use. The only problem with it was it was on the Pre and Pixi, which were quite possibly the worst phones I’ve ever held.
With some money from HP, I think that Palm might actually be able to make a comeback, at least with WebOS, I think the days of the Palm Pilot’s glory have seen the end. If HP uses WebOS to build some decent tablets, instead of trying to squeeze Windows 7 into a touch interface, I think the iPad might actually have some real competition, other than the JooJoo of course.
It seems to be the week of technology related deaths though: IE 6, HP Slate, Palm, Floppy, and others, I’m scared to see what will meet the hangman’s axe next. Now, time to rummage through my parent’s basement to see if I can find that old HotSync cradle….
